All of our masks are manufactured to the highest specification, meeting the construction, design and performance requirements of European Standard EN14683:2019.

The Equiply 3-ply face masks are designed to be a breathable but effective barrier limiting transmission and emission of disease. With a mouldable strip and pleated construction, the masks are adjustable to the wearer’s face, offering a secure but comfortable fit.

Mask Variations

Type I vs Type IIR

The main difference between the Type I and Type IIR masks lies in Bacterial Filtration Efficiency (BFE), which is a measure of how much bacteria can penetrate the mask. Type 1 must provide 95% BFE, while Type IIR must offer 98% BFE.

R = Splash resistance

Where there is a risk of fluid contamination, Type IIR masks offer some protection. These must provide a splash resistance of at least 16 kilopascals (kPa), offering a greater differential pressure than standard Type I masks.

Locally Made

• The Equiply range are manufactured at our newly built facility in Lancashire

• Provides state-of-the-art, ISO 9001 accredited production facilities in the UK

• Offers a dependable supply of high-quality masks for clinical, care and frontline professionals

• Proud to support Lancashire’s strong manufacturing tradition

The Issa Group has long experience of working with a wide network of manufacturers, both international and British. But the Covid-19 pandemic showed that even well-established supply lines can be disrupted by a crisis. As such, we invested in a local solution – harnessing expertise in engineering, production operations and medical standards to create our own British-based productions capacity.

Now, we’re proud to bring our facilities home – supplying masks when and where they’re needed, while supporting our local communities.
