The Issa Group is forward-thinking business that’s rooted in family values. Founded as a pharmaceutical business in the 1970s, it has grown to become an international pharmaceutical and medical distributor – serving a range of providers and distributors in the healthcare and social care sectors, across the North West and the wider UK.
While we’re proud of our small-business roots and our close links with local communities, we are an innovative, holistic healthcare organisation – with an international presence and an absolute focus on exceptional patient care.

Delivering for our community
We’ve always been proud to play a vital role in the communities we serve. And that’s why, in the early days of the Covid-19 crisis, we were so quick to scale up operations for the UK – not only importing tens of millions of surgical masks and disposable aprons, but also retooling our UK production lines to ensure we could help meet the frontline need – from NHS trusts and social care organisations, to local authorities and even the police and prison service.
But that was only the first step. We were also proud to play our part in supporting the nation as an active member of the Daily Mail's Mail Force and the Scheinberg Relief Fund – standing behind the NHS staff, volunteers and care workers in their fight against Covid-19, with millions of items of critical protective equipment.
We work hard to support our local community, not only through various charitable works and partnerships, but also through our key mission of supporting exceptional patient care. Walton Mill lets us reaffirm our commitment to our community.
Creating a reliable, local supply of high-quality masks strengthens our ability to serve patients, but it also helps us play an active role in a vibrant local economy – reviving a heritage of manufacturing in the birthplace of the industrial revolution. But we’re not finished. In the months and years ahead, we will look to expand our operation, while making our facility fully local, with every inch of raw material coming from local manufacturers, wherever possible.
